My story
You know the difference it makes when someone really listens to you.
That's how I started. At the age of 20 my career started somewhere a little unusual - not knowing what to do with my degree (and feeling a little skint), I heard you could make good money selling double glazing. I quickly became the top salesperson, not because I had the hardest pitch, but because I listened. I was genuinely interested in those I met.
Someone noticed my desire to connect and understand people. I was headhunted into personal and leadership development with one of the world's most successful leadership development consultancies, Dale Carnegie International — the career spark that ignited it all.
You might recognise this in your own story: the threads of who you are at your best have always been there. For me, the makings of a coach (my innate skills) were evident even in the early days. The game-changing moment came when I looked deeply within myself and realised, I had something unique, not just as a coach, but in how I show up as a human being. My positivity. My energy. My wish for people to get the best from life.
Gaining clarity after some life-changing events (losing my brother and side-stepping some pretty hefty health issues myself), combined with my self-belief, ignited a drive to develop my global coaching practice. Today, as a Master Executive Coach (with an MSc in Executive Corporate and Personal Coaching) and personal performance and leadership transformation specialist, with a team of highly skilled associates, I work with leaders and high performers to help them unlock their best selves and achieve meaningful, lasting results.
